The Secret To The Perfect Trial BEFORE Your Appointment

Once, I actually had a bride say to me “a trial isn’t necessary is it, it’s just the makeup artist’s way of getting us to pay more”

The reality is, many makeup artists (worth their salt) won’t accept a booking for your wedding day, unless you commit to a trial also.

Every bride should feel heart-thumping gratitude and affection for their bridal makeup artist on their wedding day.

Which means there are certain measures you need to take before your makeup trial to get the most out of our experience together.

1. Cleanse and moisturise your skin beforehand.

This makes sure I’m not spending some of my time with you prepping your skin before I can even start applying makeup!

2. Wear a top/dress with a similar colour and neckline to your wedding dress.

This will help you visualise your makeup look alongside what you’ll wear on the day and give you the excited tummy flutters when you imagine it all coming together!

3. Bring visuals.

A great way to share inspo between us is to create a Pinterest mood board of your top 2-3 makeup looks that give you all the feels but keep an open mind and trust in my ability to create something that works for you.

Paying someone to do your hair and makeup for your big day is an investment: in yourself, in your memories and giving you photos to look back on that leave you with butterflies in your tummy.

A trial is yours and my way of preparing fully for this, planning together as a team, guaranteeing your satisfaction and contributing to an experience for you that adds extra magic to your special occasion.
